Where dost thou seek Me?

the_breath

O servant, where dost thou seek Me?

Lo ! I am beside thee.

I am neither in temple nor in mosque:
I am neither in Kaaba nor in Kailash:

Neither am I in rites and ceremonies,
nor in Yoga and renunciation.

If thou art a true seeker, thou shalt at once see Me:
thou shalt meet Me in a moment of time.

Kabir says, ‘ O Sadhu ! God is the breath of all breath.’

  1. I was just reading this same beautiful saying recently. I also heard how the breath is the connection between the body, mind and spirit. How close our creator resides and yet we search high and low like we have lost Him.

    • Dear Sonya,

Thank you for your visit and comments.

Yes, I agree with you that He is closer than our jugular, and yet we look, look, look everywhere.

      All good wishes,

      robert
